The Betrayed Wolfless Is The Lycan King

At the moon awakening, Aeron Helion gives his Alpha wolf to his mate Serena Callisto so she can become an Alpha. Serena promises to return for him in three years. Aeron is left wolfless and exiled. Five years later, the Thorne Pack has taken him in, and he keeps a secret Lycan power blessed by the Moon Goddess. He kills Drakor, the apex beast, and hides the power to avoid a new war.

Thorne Pack warriors search for Drakor's scales. Aeron brings scales and gives one to Lyra Thorne, the daughter of Alpha Ronan Thorne. The others mock him as wolfless and demand the scales. Mia tries to seduce him for the scales, and Damon attacks him. Aeron refuses, keeps his power hidden, and fights them off. Lyra intervenes.

Meanwhile, Serena, now Alpha of Callisto Pack, learns from Victor, her Beta, that Drakor died on Thorne territory. She suspects a Lycan and prepares to invade the Thorne Pack. Her goal is to bring the Lycan into her pack and rule every Alpha as Alpha queen.

Callisto Pack arrives at the Thorne Pack. Victor and Blair challenge the pack. Aeron wants to help, but Mia and Damon dismiss him. Mia and Damon take the fight and lose. Lyra steps in and, with Aeron's help, beats Victor and Blair. Serena arrives and wounds Lyra. Then Aeron asks if she finally came for him. Serena rejects their mate bond in public: "I, Serena Callisto, Alpha of Callisto Pack, reject you, Aeron Helion, as my mate." The one-sided rejection causes destruction.

Serena tells Aeron she became Alpha thanks to his wolf and cannot have a wolfless mate. She offers him a Tear of the Moon Goddess to keep him healthy, calling them even. Aeron refuses the payoff and declares he will take back everything he gave her with his own hands.

Serena warns the Thorne Pack belongs to her and dismisses Ronan Thorne, the old Alpha. Aeron stands against her. He must face his former lover, protect his new friends, and hide his Lycan identity.
