Play Of Lust: Royals On Exile

Rowena, Queen Consort, goes into exile with King Richard, his brother Edmund, and her stepson Karen. They flee in a small carriage. Richard drives. Edmund sits beside her, apparently asleep. Rowena is forced into close quarters with Karen.

Half a year earlier, Karen learned the king cannot satisfy Rowena. On the road, Karen pushes boundaries. Rowena struggles between royal duty and forbidden attraction. She tries to stay silent. Any noise will reach Richard. Waking Edmund would mean discovery.

Karen offers a dangerous bargain. She can stop him, but only if she agrees to something more. She tells herself it is the last time. She plans to stop once the dress is worn thin enough to tear. Karen warns that if she keeps going, the skirt will tear and he will slip in. She is ashamed, yet she cannot resist.

The carriage reaches a manor. Edmund wakes. Richard asks why Rowena's face is red. She blames the heat. Later she claims she tripped on a stone. She retreats to a greenhouse alone. She decides to handle her feelings herself so she will not be tempted again. Karen appears. He heard her. He holds her undergarment. He calls her a desperate woman in heat and says he saw everything. He asks if she wants him inside her too. She admits her body has a mind of its own and that the moment was nowhere near satisfying.

Richard tells her to rest and let Karen take care of her. She surrenders. In the carriage, Edmund sleeps. Karen's hands are under her dress again. She hopes Edmund stays asleep. He does. Karen says she wanted Edmund to fall asleep. Every jolt pushes her deeper into his embrace. Richard asks if she is fine. She says yes. Richard tells their son to look after her. She thinks Karen is definitely taking care of her. She will never forget what came after.
