Valerie Russo spent seven years married to Luca Russo, a mafia heir and CEO. She wanted a child with him and went through repeated fertility treatments. Luca promised he would never betray her.

Valerie visits the church where Luca carved an angel for her. The twins are two now, the true heirs. She goes through with the crash. The news reports Valerie Russo dead in a private jet crash. Luca breaks down.

Valerie walks away from the marriage and buries the past. Love is off the table. She starts building a life for herself, and Luca is left with the regret.
