Her New Face

The day before Leah's wedding, her best friend Lydia makes her move. She pays off a beautician to drug Leah, then burns her face. The plastic surgery that follows is meticulous—Lydia emerges looking exactly like Leah. She will be Luke's wife. Leah's uncle Terry is part of it from the start. He drives them both to a cliffside. She threatens to expose her. The false Leah lunges for the phone, burns herself in the struggle, and then runs to Luke claiming Sunny attacked her. Luke takes the phone and sends it for data recovery—let's see exactly what was recorded. The false Leah's composure cracks.

That night, Luke comes to Sunny's room. He offers to buy her a new phone. Then he sees the tattoo on her back—angel wings, the same design his wife supposedly had inked just for him. He grabs her, demanding to know who she really is and why she has that mark. Sunny pushes him away. She does not know what the tattoo means. She only knows she is not what he thinks she is.
