Scarlett hides her Hart identity from Ethan, then wins everything at his blackjack table. The reveal leaves Ethan with nothing—can Scarlett move on with Blake?
Scarlett Hart, heir to a Las Vegas casino dynasty, has buried her name as Ethan Hayes's fiancée in exchange for an ordinary life. Years later she finds Ethan at a club with Mia, his lover, who is playing his bride for the night, and their friends. Ethan calls Mia only a friend and sends Scarlett home.
Scarlett sits down instead. The table plays blackjack for wedding gifts: losers drink and hand over something from the pot. Ethan stakes the cufflinks Scarlett gave him and swore never to remove; she answers with the earrings he gave her. Then comes the grandmother's bracelet she never takes off, and Ethan rules it a fair loss when she protests. She keeps raising until her Tribeca apartment and everything to her name are on the table.
By the last hand she has already taken Mia's company. Both sides sign lawyer-drafted wager agreements and go all-in. Ethan draws to twenty-one and thinks the table is his; Scarlett answers with blackjack. Mia calls cheating. Her promise from the first deal—"when you gamble with me you never win"—holds.
She collects the shares, the property, and everything signed over, then stops hiding: Hart Group CEO, her investment pulled, Ethan and Mia finished. Ethan works out he was the mark the whole night.
Scarlett walks out, done with the games, and later moves on with Blake, the devoted man.
