Zeus Came Back for His True Love

On Olympus, Gaia warns Zeus to stop chasing women and take responsibility. Olympus needs a true queen, and he has one last chance to become a true king. He goes out anyway, and Gaia sends him down to the mortal world as Adam.

Soon after, Cora, a farmer’s daughter, refuses Brandon, the wealthy merchant her father Simon and stepmother Daphne want her to marry. When the pressure turns physical, Adam claims Cora as his. Brandon cancels the wedding. Cora chooses Adam in front of everyone and declares him her husband. Adam promises her the best of everything. Then a messenger calls Lord Zeus back to Olympus because Frost Giants are attacking. Adam leaves Cora with a promise to wait for him.

Seven years pass. Cora is back in her family’s house as a servant, doing laundry, cooking, and feeding horses while Daphne withholds food and calls her children bastards. Chloe mocks her, and Brandon still wants to marry her despite the twins. Cora’s children defend her when Brandon grabs her, and Apollo unleashes fire that burns sacred vines.

Chloe and others seize on this as proof. They call the boy a demon, Cora a demon’s woman, and the twins demon spawn. The burned sacred vines, they claim, prove the beggar was a demon too. Simon condemns the family and moves to purify the child himself. Cora shields her child, is beaten in the child’s place, and is condemned with her children. Chloe promises they will not die quickly.

After the victory on Olympus, Zeus senses his wife is in danger and leaves to save her. Gaia declares that the new king of Olympus has a wife and orders the finest gifts to welcome the future queen. Gaia will see for herself what kind of woman captured her son’s heart.

As Cora faces execution, Chloe taunts her that she will die before seeing what happens to her children. Then Zeus returns in fury and demands, “Who dared to hurt my wife?”
