Zero to Alpha: Return of the Wolf King

Nory was exiled from his pack for failing to awaken his wolf form. For twenty years he trained under three Masters beyond Sacred Rank: Master Ben, Master Adam, and Master Cora. Earlier, in the human realm, a vampire lord attacked golden werewolves. Nory intervened, killed the vampire, and left without giving his name. The werewolves he saved called him their savior and began searching for him. His masters sent him home to visit his mother.

He returns not to rejoin the pack, only to see his mother. His brother Van and the pack receive him as a wolfless rogue. The pack alpha sets a condition: Nory must place in the top three of the annual wolf pack tournament to set foot in the inner sanctuary and visit his mother.

At the tournament, round one is the aptitude test. Van scores six stars. Nory shatters the test stone without shifting. Van argues the stone had accumulated power and Nory only got lucky. Tournament host Silver Wolf Tod rules the verdict stands. Nory advances. The Golden Werewolf Elders Lincoln, Simon, and Bailinna sense the stone's shattering means potential beyond gold and wonder if Nory is the savior they seek.

The next round is combat against Lord Rosade, Guardian of the Golden Academy. Rosade changes the rules: survive two moves to pass, three for honors, four to be a genius. Van challenges Rosade first and steps down after one move. Nory faces Rosade, withstands four moves, and Rosade escalates into his wolf form. Nory crushes every foe and is revealed as the savior the three Gold Leaders sought.

Vampires invade. Nory slams the Legendary First Sire through seven walls. Learning his mother was injured saving him, he gathers three sacred relics to heal her.

Crimson eyes in distant mist hint a greater threat.
