Your Worthless Ex-Wife Is a Top Expert

An accident on the highway sets the tone early: Audrey, a close friend of Aaron's mother, claims Violet caused the crash on purpose to test Aaron's loyalties, and he believes her, carrying Audrey to safety first. At the hospital, things get worse — Aaron asks Violet to donate one of her corneas to Audrey, who is supposedly going blind, until Violet proves the diagnosis is faked and walks out, demanding a divorce. Even after she leaves, Audrey and Aaron's mother continue to paint Violet as the problem, dismissing her as a nobody with no background. When Violet resurfaces at a medical banquet, it's clear her reputation in the field is real — the hospital director personally recruits her back — and Aaron, who once took her for granted, begins to grasp what he's lost.
