When Kathy's father is badly injured after confronting the contractor who owes him wages, she heads into the city to find help. Her search leads her to the office of Vincent, a CEO suffering from a mysterious illness. After a misunderstanding involving a bowl of soup spiked by his assistant, Kathy spends the night with him. Vincent assumes she's another heiress his mother has sent and dismisses her as a gold-digger, giving her money to leave. But before Kathy can use it for her father's surgery, a woman claiming to be Vincent's fiancée tricks her out of the card. Left with nothing, Kathy and her father are evicted from the hospital and end up on the streets. She sells blood to survive, all while hiding her pregnancy. Months later, her father returns to the construction site to demand what he's owed, only to be beaten again. Vincent arrives just in time, discovering that Kathy is carrying his twins. He brings them both to safety, and his family welcomes her.
