Camille Welch was the gambling queen of Las Vegas before Stephen Ford. She could turn over a royal flush with two fingers and hit double sixes without thinking. Then she left that world for him. Stephen never knew. He thought she was a good girl waiting at home.

The night before their wedding, Stephen went to a casino for a bachelor party. Jenny Tyson was there, his so-called best friend. Camille found them walking out of a Vegas chapel hand in hand, Jenny wearing a veil. Stephen called it a stupid drunk joke and promised to get it annulled tomorrow. Jenny laughed it off, said a wedding was still a wedding even if it only lasted one night, and asked for a newlywed gift. The whole lounge burst out laughing.

In the private lounge, the group starts a dice game. A Westside development goes into the pot as a wedding gift. Camille says she's in. Stephen tries to send her home. Camille plays the part of a nervous amateur. She loses her first round. Her earrings go to Jenny.

The game climbs. Jenny takes Camille's grandmother's bracelet, the one she never took off. Stephen hands it over. A bet's a bet, he says. Wine spills across it, and no one stops it. Camille keeps playing, looking drunk and reckless. She loses some, wins a few back. Then Jenny proposes an all-in round. Every asset in her name against every asset in Camille's name. Stephen chooses to sit beside Jenny. Camille signs the agreement.

Jenny rolls eleven. Stephen rolls a perfect twelve. The room says it's over. Camille looks at Stephen and says after tomorrow, they will have nothing to do with each other. Then she rolls. The table goes silent. She doesn't roll to survive. She rolls to bury them.
