Arthur Hopkins, an MIT graduate, handed his algorithm patent to his wife Victoria and spent eight years as a househusband while she built Wei technologies into a Silicon Valley name.
A maid, Elena, was fired after she found a safe behind the wine rack in the cellar and brought it to Arthur. The safe held a trust for Leo Rossi with $20 million, a Miami mansion in Leo's name, and records of surrogate twins. Arthur brought in Harvey, who found Victoria had moved nearly $50 million to Leo's offshore accounts through shell projects, signed a surrogacy agreement, and hired a Los Angeles divorce lawyer. Her plan: frame Arthur for cheating, leave him with nothing, and transfer company shares to Leo once the twins were born. Arthur had already made his position clear: "I'll make sure none of you get a single cent."
Victoria pressed Arthur for the new algorithm and scheduled a global launch. Arthur had rebuilt the core logic and reported strong performance results. He reached out to Brittany, an old acquaintance who had offered him a partnership eight years earlier and kept her number since. She gave him a CTO seat and Genesis tech's legal team to work with Harvey on the divorce.
Victoria ordered Arthur to stay home on launch day. He insisted on driving her. During the drive, Victoria took a call about a business partner's wife going into labor. Arthur knew it was the surrogate. Victoria sent him home to clean for friends who would be staying.
At the launch, the evidence was ready. The presentation runner had been paid off. A signal would replace Victoria's slides with the evidence. Harvey reported the surrogate was delivering that day, and Victoria planned to sign the equity transfer at the hospital after the launch. Arthur moved first.
