Chloe Sterling married Preston Sinclair to keep her billions, but his suspicious mother and greedy relatives are circling—can a fake deal survive long enough to become real love?

Chloe Sterling, heiress to the Sterling empire, has billions she cannot spend in ten lifetimes and no interest in marriage. Her father, Richard Sterling, forces the issue: marry, or he will bring home a stepmother with children and cut off her inheritance. Chloe agrees to a date, then to a marriage, as the price of keeping her money.

At the meeting, Chloe mistakes Preston Sinclair, CEO of Sinclair Global, for her blind date and proposes marriage that afternoon. He accepts. Their contract keeps lives and finances separate, has Preston cover marital expenses, preserves Chloe's inheritance, and adds a two-hundred-million payout. It runs two years, with renewal optional.

After city hall, a call with Richard reveals the arranged blind date never appeared. Chloe asks, "Then who the hell did I just marry?" Preston's mother, Eleanor Sinclair, is already furious that he skipped another match and married a stranger. Preston built Sinclair Global into a global empire, and Eleanor sees the marriage as reckless. She later accuses him of marrying a nobody to get out from under her control.

Chloe brings Preston to meet Richard. Richard warns him away from her money while Chloe hides the family's wealth and presents them as broke. Preston promises to protect her as his wife. Richard then orders Arthur, the Sterling family butler, to look into Preston because he looks familiar.

Preston gives Chloe a cover story and ten days to win Eleanor over. Success means another hundred million. At the Sinclair home, Eleanor insults Chloe's weight and accuses Preston of hiring a fake wife. Chloe improvises the three-year chase and the secret relationship to sell the marriage. She fights back, calling herself beautiful and exactly Preston's type. Harper, Preston's younger sister, pushes for a kiss as proof. Preston and Chloe kiss in front of Eleanor.

Eleanor still refuses to accept the marriage, wants Chloe to walk away on her own, and pushes Harper to call Preston's father back to New York before the Sinclairs lose control of the family. The contract is business, but both families are already treating the marriage as a fight.

Dramaglance Notes
The contract signing is the hook: separate lives, separate finances, two years, and a two-hundred-million payout if Chloe plays wife. Then a call with her father reveals the real blind date never showed, so the man she married is a stranger with his own reasons. Preston's mother is the live wire. She calls Chloe a fat girl, accuses her of being hired, and demands a kiss as proof. Chloe doesn't shrink. She invents a three-year chase and sells Preston as a man who kept their love secret. Harper is the unexpected ally; Eleanor is the wall. The ten-day acceptance bet and the extra hundred million keep the pressure tight. It's funny, tense, and mean in the right places.
