Alina Nash, the Nash heiress, was exiled for ten years by her stepmother Katherina. Katherina summons her back to Zaraslado with one demand: transfer her engagement to Mafia don Luke Norris to her half-sister Isabella. Alina agrees to return, planning to reclaim everything her mother left behind.

On the journey home, a dangerous stranger enters her room to hide from pursuers. He fakes intimacy with her, offers to repay her, and she gives him a fake name to avoid trouble.

After she lands, Katherina and Isabella meet her at the dock. They mock her country clothes and manner in front of her, then move on to see Lucia Norris. Meanwhile, Luke orders a search for the woman who gave him a fake name and took his pendant. Lucia Norris, Luke's stepmother, has agreed to cancel the engagement. Alina meets Lucia in private and produces a photo: Antonio, Lucia's son, is the child of Lucia and the driver Martin, not a Norris heir. Alina threatens to release copies unless Lucia announces Alina as the future Mrs. Norris at a ball. Lucia agrees.

Luke finds Alina before the ball. When she uses Luke's name to scare him, he is not intimidated. Per the official plot, he kisses her. She still does not know he is the Don. Later, Luke interrogates the men who ambushed him on the cruise. They name the Salvadores family.

At the ball, Katherina and Isabella expect Isabella's name. Cade Norris, Luke's father, and Lucia talk about Luke's fiancée. Cade spots Alina and approves of her. The announced name is Alina, and Luke appears to dance with her.

Dramaglance Notes
The stranger in her room is the Don. That's the reveal. Alina gets off the boat and the first thing her stepmother and half-sister do is mock her clothes. Then she walks into a private meeting with Lucia and flips the whole engagement with one photo. She doesn't beg. She threatens. Katherina and Isabella think the ball will crown Isabella. Then Luke walks in—the same man who kissed her when she used his name to scare him. The pendant, the fake name Maria, the interrogation, the Salvadores—it all connects. You keep waiting for Alina to realize who she’'s been talking to. When she does, it's already too late for Isabella. The power shift is the fun part.
