The Campus Star I Ghosted Was My Bestie's Brother

Emma, a plus-size college student, spent six months dating campus football star Ryan online. They talked every day, and he kept asking to meet. Afraid he would be disappointed by her real appearance, she sent him a message saying she was bored and blocked him everywhere.

Six months later, Emma went to the football field to find her best friend Chloe and ran into Ryan instead. Chloe introduced him as her older brother. Emma realized her online ex was her best friend's brother. At dinner with Chloe and Ryan, Chloe suggested her brother set Emma up with someone. Ryan rejected every teammate mentioned, and Emma panicked when he seemed to already know her name.

The next day Chloe asked Emma to deliver Ryan's training gloves. At the athletic center, Emma overheard teammates describe how Ryan fell apart after his online girlfriend dumped him. He could not sleep, trained constantly, and looked for her forever. Emma felt guilty.

Ryan took the gloves and told her to wait in the film room. He asked for her Instagram, scrolled through it, and found nothing. But he was still using their old matching profile pictures, and he asked if she had nothing to say to him. He had recognized her.

Later, at a party, Ryan publicly claimed Emma as his girlfriend. In a dress shop, he shut down a rude salesperson. At the homecoming dance, he confessed his love. Rival Sophia drugged Emma to ruin her. Ryan saved her and called the cops.

The next day, Emma admitted she ran because she feared showing him her real self. Ryan answered, "You underestimated how much I like you." They finally belonged to each other.
