Evie was raised as the Alpha Princess, but when her grandmother falls into a coma, the family blames her. Amelia’s return as the true alpha princess has already displaced her. Her father Matt, the Alpha King, sends her to the Wolf Military Academy. Her brothers side with the family. Evie's denial changes nothing.

Amelia had people inside the academy rough Evie up. Three years later, Evie returns thin, bruised, and broken. Her family still calls her the fake princess. They bring her to her grandfather's birthday dinner to keep up appearances.

Claire, a servant who watched Evie grow up, sees the bruises across Evie's back. Evie expects no help from the Alpha King and Luna. At dinner, the grandfather questions why Evie looks like she came back from fighting. He believes her when she denies hurting grandmother. He says the engagement to Levi was his decision and Evie can have him if she wants. Evie no longer remembers Levi existed.

Amelia and Levi are set to marry. During a confrontation, Amelia turns the fire on herself and hands Evie the oil lamp. Their mother pushes Evie down; the lamp breaks and burns Evie’s leg. The family asks about Amelia first. A servant claims to have seen Evie attack Amelia. Matt demands an apology or disowns her. Evie refuses. She repeats, "I didn't do it."

Evie describes the academy: wolves set on her because she has no wolf, tied to a tree for three days and three nights, forced to drink toilet water, stripped naked. Aiden calls it a sob story. Matt orders ten lashings. Evie still refuses to confess.

Only when Matt strikes her and her prosthetic limb falls off does the family realize the horrifying truth. By then, Evie has already returned broken. Their image of her as a spoiled brat collapses.

Dramaglance Notes
The prosthetic is the gut punch. Evie spends three years at the Wolf Military Academy while her family thinks she’s living it up. She comes back thin, bruised, and still called the fake princess. Grandpa is the only one who looks at her and asks what happened. Amelia burns herself and frames Evie, Aiden backs her, and Matt orders lashings for an apology Evie won't give. Then Evie describes the academy: wolves set on her, tied to a tree, toilet water. Aiden calls it a sob story. The second Matt strikes her and the prosthetic falls off, every accusation they made turns to ash. You wait the whole time for one of them to believe her. Grandpa does. The rest learn too late.
