Scarlett, a Daywalker whose parents were killed by vampires, is attacked by vampires who want her blood. While Daniel shows her kindness and protection, Scarlett's fiancé Mike betrays her by selling her to an older man. Daniel rescues her again, and she learns that Daniel is both a mafia don and a vampire. Meanwhile, Daniel's fiancée, Zoe, discovers his secret and orders Scarlett killed.
"Spoiled By the Don I Fear" brings together a Daywalker named Scarlett and a vampire lord who also runs the mafia. She saves Daniel by accident, and because her blood is unusual, it draws the wrong kind of attention – other vampires start hunting her. Daniel steps in to rescue her, but there's a problem. Scarlett carries trauma from her childhood, so he decides to hide what he really is.
Instead, he showers her with protection and affection, the kind that's hard to resist. She falls for him slowly, without knowing the truth.
