Rejecting the Phoenix, Taming the Dragon

Samara is an identical twin born with a facial mark in a Beastman world, while her flawless sister Sienna is adored. Samara once saved the phoenix Finn, and he chooses to bond with her, but she later realizes he has always loved Sienna instead. When Sienna's dragon mate Alaric goes feral, Finn knocks Samara unconscious and sends her to take Sienna's place at the bonding altar. Samara goes through with the ritual, expecting to die. After the bond snaps into place and a nightmare dimension opens, she opens her eyes again.
