Plus-Size Bride, Stepmom in Charge

Aurora Vitale is forced by her family to marry Adrian DeMarco, a widowed mafia don. On the wedding day, Adrian leaves to handle an urgent matter. Aurora finishes the ceremony with his portrait, signs the papers, and becomes the lady of the DeMarco house. The guests mock her size and pity her.

At the DeMarco estate, Adrian's daughter Sophia tugs Aurora's dress and asks if she is her mom. Aurora decides to become the mother she never had. She finds Sophia and Leo, Adrian's children, living beside the servants' corridor in old clothes. Elena, Adrian's sister, and Marco, Elena's son, have been abusing them. Marco holds a lit cigarette to Leo's face.

Aurora locks Marco outside on the terrace for the night. She confronts Elena and Adrian's grandmother. She refuses to kneel in the chapel, drinks there, and threatens to expose how Adrian's children have been treated. She declares she runs the house now, and the children eat first.

Aurora runs a security drill in the early morning. The household takes four minutes to assemble. She orders breakfast for ten and makes clear that Sophia and Leo eat before anyone else. She trains Leo to fight back and trains alongside him for a month. Through strict training, she begins to lose weight.

A month later, Leo returns to school and fights Carter Reed and two friends. Leo drives a compass through Carter's hand and pins it to the desk. The school summons a guardian. Adrian heads back with a gift and admits leaving her at their wedding was not his finest moment, then goes to the school first. At the school, Carter's parent demands an apology. Aurora arrives and refuses to let anyone make Leo apologize. "I'd like to see who thinks they can make my son apologize."

With Adrian back, Aurora works with him against the internal family plots. She crushes the relatives who tried to control the house and wins real power and respect.
