Phantom Returns

Ethan Kingsley is a legendary racer who hides his identity as Phantom. For five years he works as a delivery driver, Ethan Hale, while secretly supporting his wife Claire Sterling's auto company with technology, contracts, and connections. Claire does not know any of it came from him.

Ethan rescues Olivia Bennett, the heiress of Bennett Motors, from kidnappers. She offers him a place in Bennett racing. He refuses and returns to his deliveries.

He delivers parts to a hotel suite and finds Claire with Mason Cole, a race-car driver. Mason claims Phantom trained him. Claire says Mason is taking Sterling public. She orders Ethan to keep quiet at the Sterling IPO gala.

At the gala, Ethan is sent to the back table. Mason brings Mr. Stirling, Claire's grandfather, a bottle of Phantom wine and says it is the wine Phantom toasted his first title with. Mr. Stirling calls Mason exactly the kind of man Claire needs. Ethan points out the bottle is fake, that only ninety-six were made, and that he opened the real one that night. Mason then presents the Apex deal and claims Phantom connected him to Apex for a three-billion-dollar exclusive deal once Sterling goes public. Colin Black of Apex North America announces the partnership. Apex's concept car and Phantom's championship helmet arrive as gifts. Ethan knows the car's four motors, the ignition code, and the crack from the Monty Car final. Ethan also says the email is fake and the deal was not Mason's to approve. Claire still trusts Mason. She hands Ethan divorce papers.

Olivia Bennett arrives and offers Ethan the highest salary in racing, a thirty percent stake in Bennett racing, and her support against Apex. Claire insists the marriage is over. Ethan's answer: "I'm not the one walking away with nothing."

Ethan then cancels the Apex partnership, turns down Claire's apology, and gets back on the track with Olivia to rebuild his name.
