Stella has been trapped in a controlling marriage with Felix for years. She wants a divorce, but he refuses to let her go. On her birthday, she tries to escape by jumping into the sea. She survives and disappears. Felix searches everywhere for her. Meanwhile, Stella finds a plastic surgeon named Dalton. She begs him to change her face so Felix will never recognize her. Dalton agrees, but on one condition: she must pose as his late wife.
