Janet Lind, adopted daughter of the Lind family, stands outside a door and hears her boyfriend Steve making a choice—her stepsister Jocelyn or her. Janet walks into a grand meeting hall to find Gawain, a knight of the Round Table and lieutenant to the King of Knights, waiting to address what happened. Elaine stands nearby, distressed and afraid.
