Not His ATM, I'm The Wolf Queen

Scarlett is the pack's chief healer and Nathaniel's mate. For five years she funded Nathaniel's family: his father James, mother Sandra, and sister Joyce. She paid off the pack's $500,000 debt, covered Sandra's arthritis and James's heart condition, gave them $8,000 a month, bought them an SUV, paid $5,000 a month for Joyce's tutoring, and bought her designer clothes.

Scarlett planned a family trip. She spent six months and over $20,000 on it. Nathaniel gave her protected convoy spot to Victoria, his childhood sweetheart, and sent Scarlett alone through Shadow Pack, the most dangerous territory on the continent. He justified it because she was strong and Victoria was delicate. His family sided with Victoria.

Scarlett stopped paying. She refused Nathaniel's demand for $50,000. She froze the authorized card on her account, canceled every reservation booked under her name, and cut off every dime of support to the family. She walked into Shadow Pack alone.

Nathaniel and his family reached a luxury hotel. They asked for the finest private dining room and ordered a $12,700 dinner. The card was deactivated. There was no reservation under Nathaniel's name. Their luggage was missing. Scarlett's answer was blunt: "Your luggage? I already burned it."

Scarlett had spent five years carrying the pack. In Shadow Pack, she finally looked at her own wolf. She decided she did not need the guards or the family that chose an outsider over her.

After walking away, Scarlett rescued a rogue who was secretly the Lycan King. She rose to power as the Wolf Queen. Nathaniel lost everything and begged for her return.
