My Ex's Uncle Waited Me For Years

Colette Freeman, a lead surgeon at Northwood Hospital, has loved Mike Norton for years and once slit her wrist to feed him blood. At the club, Mike's lover Hannah Hamilton twists her ankle, and the moment turns into Colette's public humiliation: a servant's daughter, her scar revolting. Colette ends four years with Mike.

In the club restroom, Colette hides a wounded stranger from pursuers. A man outside promises to break his legs with a silver baton. Colette treats the wound and identifies the silver poison stopping his healing; she tells him to disinfect it properly. He knows her name before she leaves. The stranger is Evander Norton, the Wolf King and Mike's paternal uncle. He has searched for her for twenty years, since she saved him from suicide when he was a boy, with a lucky bracelet.

Colette clears her belongings from Mike's villa and moves out. Mike predicts she will crawl back by eight that night.

At the hospital, the Wolf King's mother needs emergency heart surgery. Colette operates without the Alpha king's approval and saves her. Evander orders Colette to oversee his mother's recovery and moves her into the Norton mansion's top-floor master suite, next door to his bedroom. Family objections do not change his command.

Evander offers Colette a contract girlfriend arrangement—three months or three years, her terms. She refuses. She calls the Norton family lunatics and brutes and refuses to look twice at a monster like him.

Mike then takes her to a patient in a vegetative state kept alive by Norton medical funds. He gives her two choices: kneel and serve him for life, or repay five hundred thousand in medical fees within three months, otherwise he pulls the tube. Colette refuses to kneel and afterward accepts Evander's terms: three months as his contract girlfriend for five hundred thousand.

The contract turns physical: Evander orders Colette to undress, then to crawl across the desk to him. Mike arrives at the door to apologize to his uncle. Evander keeps Colette quiet inside and notes that seeing Mike outside only excites her more.

Through kidnapping, auction traps, and abduction, Evander saves Colette each time. Beverly, Mike's mother, tricks Colette into believing she is a substitute for Desiree, Evander's sworn sister; Colette flees heartbroken. Desiree confirms she is only his sworn sister. Colette accepts his soul mark and proposal, and they marry as the only Wolf King and Queen.
