My Baby Daddy Runs Hell

Lucifer is resurrected by Azazel, the knight he sealed centuries ago. Azazel didn't bring him back to reclaim Hell. He brought him back to watch him take it. That betrayal cuts deep, but it's only the latest. Centuries earlier, Azazel and Asmotai turned on him. Left wounded, he was saved by Lilith, who bore him a daughter. When he regained consciousness, she was gone. Now, using the name Luke Inphoenix, he works as a valet in Brooklyn, still hunting Asmotai and the woman who saved his life.

A truck barrels toward a little girl outside the hotel. Luke stops it with his bare hands. The girl, Aurora, immediately declares him a superhero and announces her mom should marry him. Her mother, Lillian Roy, a billionaire CEO, tries to thank him. Before Luke can slip away, Lillian's uncle Michael corners her, demanding she marry Gordon and hand over the company. When she refuses, he calls Aurora a bastard. The little girl insists her daddy is brave and strong. The adults mock her. Then she spots Luke, runs to him, and whispers a request: just be her daddy for a little while, so the bad guys stop being mean. Luke agrees.

Lillian, pushed past her limit, announces to her stunned family that Luke is her husband. Michael's bodyguard Tony, a demon-possessed underground fighter, attacks. Luke catches his punch, calls out the possession with disgust, and sends Tony and his men flying. Aurora cheers. Michael ends up on his knees, barking like a dog. Lillian declares she's not giving up her company.

Afterward, Lillian makes Luke an offer. She needs a husband to get her family off her back and a bodyguard for Aurora. In return, she'll use her resources to help him find the woman he's searching for. Luke agrees for a hundred grand a month plus bonuses, warning her not to fall in love with him.    

That evening, Luke attends a reunion with old colleagues. Nate and Regina spot him first, mocking him as the help who doesn't belong. Then Gabriel Martin walks in—once Luke's close friend, now running a Roy Industries restaurant chain. Luke greets him warmly. Gabriel tosses him his car keys and calls him a guard dog. He tells him to stop acting like they're friends. Luke stands there, keys in hand. Chloe, an ex-colleague who once had feelings for Luke, joins in. She calls him a bottom-feeder, says his proposal to some random woman while parking cars was pathetic. Gabriel tells him to bring his bargain box wife around for everyone to see. Luke looks at the man he once trusted and says he always knew humans were selfish and cruel, but thought Gabriel was the exception. He raises his hand and snaps his fingers. Every light in the venue explodes.
