Mr. CEO, I'm Your Wife

Debbie Nelson married Carlos Hilton three years ago, right after her parents died. She has never met the man. The marriage was handled entirely by his assistant, and for three years, the family steward Phillip simply provided whatever she needed. On her birthday, she makes a decision. She signs the divorce agreement and hands it to Phillip. She refuses to waste any more time on a husband who has never once appeared.

That same night, her best friend Kasie drags her out to celebrate. A drunk man wraps his arm around Debbie's waist. She slaps him hard. He waves his hand, and a group of hooligans surrounds them. Debbie tells Kasie to run, then bolts herself. As she turns a corner, she spots a figure, throws herself into the man's arms, stands on tiptoe, and kisses him. The hooligans see the intimate scene and leave, assuming she is not their target. Once they are gone, Debbie pushes the man away and stuffs all her remaining cash into his hand as an apology. She finally sees his face—dark deep eyes, thick eyebrows, a high nose. But his expression is ice cold. She runs.

Kasie finds her moments later, shaking her shoulders. The man Debbie just kissed is Carlos Hilton, the famous CEO of a multinational group. Kasie knows because he once cooperated with her father. Debbie realizes she has just kissed her own husband—and he has no idea who she is.

The next day at a luxury mall, Debbie picks up a lipstick. Carlos walks in with Olga Moran on his arm. Olga calls him honey, snatches the lipstick from Debbie's hand, and sneers that she cannot afford it. Debbie grabs it back. When Carlos recognizes her as the woman who kissed him, he orders his assistant Emmett to throw her out. Debbie looks around and thinks to herself—if the plaza belongs to Carlos, it also belongs to her. She stands there smirking, and everyone concludes she must be insane. Kasie drags her away.

At a cruise party the following evening, a playboy named Louis Kent presses a drink on her. She dumps it over his head. Louis raises his hand to slap her. Carlos catches his wrist and tells him to get lost. By the pool, they argue. Debbie grabs his tie, intending to push him in. Carlos sees it coming and pulls her in with him. Soaking wet, he carries her to a dark lounge, pins her against the door, and asks how much it costs to sleep with her. She says one billion dollars. He throws her onto the bed and tears her clothes. She knees him hard. Carlos, voice shaking with rage, orders Emmett to bury her alive. Emmett hesitates, then whispers: this is Debbie Nelson—Carlos's wife.

Carlos's expression shifts from indifference to shock. Debbie expects the divorce papers to be signed. Instead, she is summoned to the villa. Carlos announces he is moving in. She is grounded. He will arrange a job for her. The husband absent for three years now wants control. Defiant, Debbie sneaks out, gets blackout drunk, and is carried home by a former classmate. Half-conscious, she wraps her arms around Carlos's neck. His lips press down on hers. She blacks out hearing him say they will settle the score.

Desperate to make amends, Debbie goes to buy Carlos a sapphire collar pin. Her cousin Gale snatches it and calls her boyfriend Victor, the mall's deputy manager. Victor orders the cashier to pack it for Gale. Debbie throws Gale's wallet across the store. Victor grabs her wrist, ready to throw her out. Carlos appears, drags Victor away, and bans him from the mall. Debbie hands him the collar pin as a peace offering. He accepts it, then locks the door at home and grounds her for a week. Debbie objects. She has already signed the divorce papers. She tells him to sign them too.
