Kenny Wilder built a bunker while Gina and Brett laughed; when the sky collapses, will they beg him for entry?

Kenny Wilder, an engineer, spends months warning his wife Gina that the atmosphere will collapse. She doesn't believe him. Over five years he prepares, finds impossible pressure readings in public weather data, and follows models that end with a surface no one survives. He learns filtration and builds a world under the world.

Gina refuses a tour of the bunker and mocks him as a paranoid prepper. Kenny knows Brett was her first love; five years of trying to make her love him got him a cold shoulder. He asks for a divorce. Gina, on the phone with Brett making lunch plans, signs the divorce papers without reading them and takes them as something for the house.

A flashback shows Gina's father, Marcus Wilder, Kenny's mentor, asking Kenny five years earlier to look after her because she won't survive alone. Kenny built her a shelter but can't force her inside. Alone in his own head, Kenny says she chose Brett and will have to survive with him. He enters the bunker through retinal scan and biometric verification. He kept his word, but Gina made her choice.

Later, Brett stays at the house for renovations, mocks Kenny’s survival gear, and calls steel braces real protection. The household plans a meteor-shower party and jokes about watching the world burn. Gina orders Kenny to change the guest room sheets and fetch fresh towels for Brett; Kenny refuses. His own warning stays unspoken: they are destroying their only chance.

At the shooting range, Brett claims injury and blames Kenny. Gina takes Brett to the hospital and leaves the bleeding Kenny behind with a promise to return later. Kenny knows it will be too late.

At the hospital, Gina tends to Brett in the VIP room while Kenny waits outside. She questions why he is there, accuses him of being petty about Brett’s suite, and calls his warnings the talk of a lunatic. Kenny asks her to trust him once. Her answer: "The sky falling?" Brett calls her in for his ice pack, and she goes.

When the collapse comes, the bunker is the only door, and Gina and Brett must beg for entry.
