Loved Twice by the Hockey Star

Alexander Weston is a hockey captain. Hazel Keller has been his secret live-in girlfriend for three years. She is pregnant and goes to find him. At the celebration, she overhears a teammate say no way Alexander would go for a chubby girl like her. Alexander answers that it is just messing around and he is leaving the country soon. Hazel only hears that part. She ends it: "Alexander I never want to see you again." Later, Alexander warns that teammate never to talk about her again, but Hazel never hears it.

Seven years later, Hazel returns as Lena Monroe. She has lost the weight and changed her name, so Alexander does not recognize her. She is a delivery worker and mother to Bella, who needs surgery that costs a hundred grand. Hazel works three jobs. She delivers pizza to Alexander's villa. Celeste Clarke, Alexander's fiancée, insults her. Bella calls Alexander Daddy. Alexander notices the child looks like him. Hazel insists they only look alike and says it is better if they never meet.

At a college reunion, classmates assume Hazel is dead. Emily, a classmate, mentions seeing her at the hospital six years earlier, pale with a huge stomach. Alexander orders a search of every hospital in the city for Hazel Keller.

Later, Alexander meets Lena at the steakhouse where she works. Celeste owns the place. She patches his hand. He sees she has the same tattoo as Hazel. He is still wearing the necklace Hazel gave him. Celeste orders Lena to the storage room. A man named James attacks her there, and Alexander saves her.

At dinner, Lena orders clam chowder without parsley. Alexander asks how she knows he hates parsley. He asks who she really is.

Bella is Alexander's daughter, and he does not know. Hazel has to decide whether the truth is worth the risk.
