Paige's world falls apart when her six-year-old son Jaxon is expelled from school and her husband Greg reveals his infidelity and resentment toward a child he never wanted. She leaves her marriage and moves to a small town, hoping for a quiet new life. But Jaxon shows unusual strength, and at a park they meet Callen — a man who looks exactly like Ryder, the lover who vanished the night they were together years ago. Later, Paige learns from Callen that he has a twin brother living nearby, and she realizes that brother must be Ryder. Strange things begin to happen around their new home: Jaxon has recurring dreams about wolves, and something large keeps appearing in the woods behind the house.
