Adrian hosts a housewarming party. Vanessa leaves the table to get wine from cold storage. Moments later, the security feed pops up on Adrian's smart glasses. He sees her with Mason.

He doesn't confront them. He mutters to himself, “they thought they could make a fool of me.” The cold room has a German automatic lockdown system. At midnight it seals itself and the temperature drops to four below zero. Adrian knows this. He keeps the card game running, has coats taken, car keys collected, and music turned up to cover any noise.

Inside, Vanessa and Mason start feeling the cold. They shout and bang on the door. The guests think it's the pipes. Chloe passes off Vanessa's absence as a work emergency. Adrian sends his wife a caring text, then watches the temperature fall on the screen.

Chloe brings up the forty-thousand-dollar wine as an excuse to check the cold storage. She tries several codes. None work. Adrian pushes any fix to the morning. Reed Group's profits are already down forty-seven percent. Whatever Vanessa wanted from Mason is slipping away with the company.

The cold gets worse. Vanessa and Mason fight to stay warm. Adrian finally lets it be known that someone is inside cold storage. The door isn't opening anytime soon.
