Arthur Evans must win Bloody Bride Lilith's affection to leave Ravenhurst Manor, but monster groom Alexander Ravenheath stands between him and the century-old secret under her veil.
Arthur Evans and other guests wake in a church at Ravenhurst Manor before a wedding they expected the next day. Lilith Morian, the Bloody Bride, sets the terms: only guests who complete the entire wedding ceremony will leave alive. She lists five rules: know your place, absolute obedience, do not waste food, never stare into water too long, and return to your position when the bell tolls. A guest who wastes food is eliminated. Arthur realizes the wax figures are real people and that Lilith will kill them and turn them into wax figures.
The Romance Escape System activates for Arthur. It names him host, Lilith target, affection zero, and escape requires affection one hundred. The first quest orders him to kiss the Bloody Bride within thirty seconds or be eliminated. He does, gains ten affection, and receives a beef burger. Other guests see the reward and regret not kissing her.
At the vow ceremony, a timed quest orders Arthur to kiss Lilith's chest before the vows end. He interrupts with "I object," reaches her, and completes the quest. Alexander Ravenheath, the monster groom, threatens to kill him. Arthur invokes rule one, claiming a guest's duty is to perform the anointing of red for the bride. Lilith's affection rises to twenty. The system grants him Soul Insight, a skill to perceive hidden dangers and true thoughts.
After the ceremony, a guest infected by an anomaly begins to mutate. Arthur uses Soul Insight to notice and asks for paper and pen. At the banquet, Lilith starts the hot potato game. Whoever holds the head when music stops must answer a riddle. A correct answer earns blood wine that cancels one rule penalty; a wrong answer earns a wish the Ravenhurst family will grant. Guests who wish to leave or live forever find their wishes twisted into traps or transformations. Before round three begins, Arthur presents a drawing. Lilith admires his artistic talent, her affection rises, and she has him take a seat up front. In round three, Arthur deliberately answers wrong, then wishes to offer a toast to the bride and groom. The wish forces the wish willow to produce wine, giving him blood wine without paying the usual price.
Arthur continues raising Lilith's affection. He uses Soul Insight to read her hidden desire, acts on what it reveals, and gains ten more affection, reaching forty. The banquet continues, and Alexander Ravenheath accuses Arthur of sleeping with his bride. The confrontation ends the first twelve episodes with Arthur still inside the game and Lilith's century-old secret not yet revealed.
