Days before the IPO, co-founder Veronica stands in an all-hands meeting as an intern accuses her of treating the company jet like a private party bus. The intern demands she be terminated. Veronica's best friend and CEO, Rebecca, stays silent.
Rebecca's betrayal is instant. She orders Veronica to hand over the jet's access codes, suspends her as VP, and promotes the intern, Ava, to director of operations. Ava doesn't just take the job—she clears out Veronica's office, tosses her mother's cross into the trash, and rips custom leather seats from the jet with a crowbar.
Veronica walks out, but not before freezing the credit card the company uses for fuel. The jet they think is theirs? She bought it. Three years of invoices, hangar fees, and crew salaries came from her personal account. The office tower Rebecca's firm occupies? Hers too, and the lease just expired.
Ava struts onto the tarmac, ready to fly Rebecca to Chicago and lock in their biggest investor, Victor. The jet won't start. Veronica appears. "Not unless I allow it."
