From Trash Girl to Queen

At six, Lily is abandoned by her genius-obsessed parents, who take her gifted younger sister Cece abroad and leave her behind. They see her as ordinary and unworthy, cutting off contact and hiring a babysitter named Mrs. Gable. The sitter proves cruel from the start, feeding Lily spoiled food, ignoring a painful finger injury, and forcing her to drink laundry detergent. When Lily calls her parents for help, they accuse her of disrupting Cece's interview, call her a burden, and block her number for good. Mrs. Gable then moves her own family into the house, pushes Lily into the basement, and makes her do every chore while feeding her only leftovers. With no way to reach her parents and the sitter's husband showing a growing, threatening interest in her, Lily is left completely alone, fighting just to survive.
