Ryan is publicly fired and divorced by Elena after she calls him useless. Victor's new system fails, and the Donovan family faces the attack Ryan warned about.

Ryan is the Soldier King of the Homeland Defense Bureau, a former special agent who never failed a mission. Five years ago, he hid his identity and joined the Donovan family as a security chief to repay a debt to old Donovan. He married Elena and spent those years quietly protecting her and the family. In return, they called him a kept lapdog.

The family meeting is where the contempt becomes official. Deputy Mason blocks him at the door and says Elena only gave him the warehouse guard job out of pity. When Ryan calls Elena's private line, she doesn't listen. Inside, the complaints pile up. Port profits are down, the casino was raided, shipments delayed. The answer is to cut spending, and Ryan is the spending they want gone. The security department is dissolved, and he is fired.

Ryan doesn't beg. He names what he has seen in five years. More than a hundred attacks stopped before they reached the family. Three rival families still circling. He points to the people in the room who laundered money, sold arms, took money from the Varga family through a mistress. No one believes him. They demand proof of invisible enemies. Elena says she regrets letting him join the family, and she regrets marrying him even more.

Victor arrives at that moment, a man from the Varga family now acting as Elena's advisor. He puts his arm around her waist in public, something Ryan was never allowed to do. Victor announces his people will take over all defense lines with smart surveillance, drone patrols, and armed convoys. Ryan warns them: without his defenses, the Donovan family won't survive tonight. Victor says he brought thirty men. Ryan answers that thirty is enough to collect the Varga family's corpses.

Ryan ignores the room, takes out his phone, and enters the master control password. The conference room falls into chaos as the system goes down. Victor claims it is a small problem. Then Victor leans close and says Elena was in his bed last night, that she was not cold to him, and that Ryan never had the right to touch her. Ryan grabs him and warns him to stop. Elena shouts for Ryan, and Ryan says the words that cut the marriage clean: “You really disgust me.” Elena says Victor is a hundred times better than him and orders Ryan to get out.

Ryan turns and walks toward the elevator lobby. The lights flicker. The main building access control goes offline, port surveillance goes black, casino cameras die. Victor's new system crashes. A scream comes through the walkie-talkie. Ryan goes back to the meeting room, and Mason asks if he locked the system down. Ryan says he only withdrew his own defense line. What is out of control now is the future they paid for. An explosion cuts the argument short.
