Malik gets his shot at the NBA draft combine, but he's short on travel money and stuck dealing with relatives who'd rather mock him than repay what they owe. His mother Denise works three jobs and lets her own arm injury go untreated so he can chase his dream. Friends and a coach sell what little they have to get him there.
