On her wedding day, Eleanor Vance expects the bridal Rolls-Royce. Julian orders her into a backup staff SUV so his secretary Sophia can ride beside him. His mother pushes her to be the bigger person. His sister tells her to sit where Julian says and grow up. Guests snicker; coworkers film the scene. Eleanor doesn't cry. She walks to Christian Thorne's Aston Martin and gets in.

Christian can't stand watching her marry Julian, but Eleanor directs him to the estate. He slams his fist on the steering wheel. A black sedan swerves into their path. While Christian handles the woman who crashed into them, Julian calls. No question about her safety. Julian just orders her to get there and keep the schedule. Eleanor watches the livestream: Sophia stands at the altar in her gown, and Julian kisses her, deep and hungry. Eleanor throws up.

She tears off the wedding dress and pulls on Christian's spare shirt and trousers. Sophia's message confirms the ceremony went on without her, and no one blinked. Eleanor turns to Christian: “City hall right now. You in?” He slams the car into gear, and they are married within the hour.

They return to the reception. Eleanor slips a blank wedding card with two one-dollar bills inside. Julian and Sophia don't recognize her in Christian's clothes. Martha accuses Eleanor of throwing a tantrum over the limo. Eleanor leaves the question unanswered: Julian's own mother never knew about the car accident.

Julian still thinks he can control the bride he discarded. Eleanor is done begging for respect. She has upgraded more than her ride; she is destroying his empire.
