Elinor's grandson is locked in a lavatory after Bella takes his seat. Bella flashes Spencer's platinum card and their intimate photos, not knowing she crossed the Queen of Lawyers.
Elinor Whitmore, a legendary aviation attorney, is flying with her two-year-old grandson Theo to his heart surgery. Theo has a heart condition and has waited a year for a donor. The flight is oversold. Bella, an influencer and platinum member, holds the same seat 14A as Elinor and Theo. Bella refuses to move, flashes a platinum card tied to her boyfriend Spencer Whitmore, a senior partner at Wayne Brennan law firm, and shows intimate photos of the two of them. The crew backs Bella.
Purser Greta Voss and a flight attendant press Elinor to leave and offer rebooking and a hotel. Elinor refuses because missing the surgery could kill Theo. Bella demands Elinor and the child be removed. When Elinor will not leave, the crew take Theo and lock him in the lavatory. Greta keeps the key while Elinor begs. A passenger films it.
Bella keeps invoking Spencer's name and showing the photos. Elinor recognizes it: Spencer is her son. She also knows Spencer is married. Bella has no idea she is bullying Spencer's mother. The crew releases Theo after Elinor agrees to the rebooking. Before leaving the plane, Elinor warns: "I remember everything you've done, and I don't forget."
Off the plane, Elinor orders Spencer back. The crew thought they were removing an old woman with a child; instead they removed someone who will make the airline pay. At the hospital, Theo is taken into surgery. Mrs. Whitmore, Theo's mother, asks where Spencer is. Spencer is held up by a meeting and does not come.
Elinor's hand is injured. She calls it a scratch and refuses to be distracted. Mrs. Whitmore asks what happened. Elinor does not explain on the spot. The payback begins from the hospital.
