After the match, Harper and Eli take a wrong turn into the players' exit. Reporters spot Eli and ask if Elias has a secret child. The photo spreads before Harper can explain. Elias leads them to a lounge. His agent Marcus starts in: how much does she want, who sent her—a rival club? Marcus reads her as a stalker or a plant. Harper denies being a fan. She only asks for a signature, something that might cover Eli's application fee.
At Briarwood, the school rejects Harper for unstable income and a missing father's signature. She presents Elias Prescott's real signature as a VIP recommendation. Derek barges in, calls it fake, and the school threatens to report forgery. Security moves toward her.
Elias walks in and says he wrote the recommendation for his wife and his son. The room goes quiet.
That claim becomes a deal. Elias needs a wife to clean up his image after the secret-child rumor. Harper needs money and a father's name for Eli. They agree to a contract marriage.
