Big Bad Alpha CEO is My Good Boy

Xavier Villefort, an Alpha, survives an attack by Maxwell's pack and collapses wounded in wolf form. Maisie Foy, an intern, finds him, treats his injuries, and takes him home. She assumes he is a stray dog and calls him a good boy. He keeps his identity hidden and remembers that she saved him.

At Maisie's apartment, hunger pulls Xavier to the kitchen. He shifts into human form and is naked when Maisie wakes. She panics, he flees, and she dismisses the naked man as an all-nighter hallucination. The next day, the company's new CEO is the same man. Maisie remembers the naked man but didn't see his face clearly. Xavier asks her name and learns she is Maisie Foy. He wonders whether she recognized him.

Bianca, Xavier's subordinate and a werewolf who has been with him for forty-three years, confronts Maisie and orders her to stay away from Xavier. Xavier intervenes, forces Bianca to apologize, and defines her as a subordinate, nothing more. Bianca later vows Maisie will regret it.

Rebels tracking Xavier try to bait him into breaking the covenant. His pack proposes he stay at Maisie's place because covenant law cannot touch humans. Xavier reluctantly becomes her pet. Maisie names him Fluffy. He wags his tail despite himself. When he almost shifts after seeing her body, he realizes how much she affects him.

Xavier leaves to handle pack matters and stays away for five hours. Maisie plasters the city with lost-dog posters. He sees that she actually cares. He returns. The bracelet he gives her carries the Villefort crest, the alpha symbol. Bianca reads it as Xavier announcing Maisie as his mate, then warns him that if Maisie sees him shift, she will see a monster, and the council will use it against him. Xavier worries Maisie would fear him. The idea that humans run stays with him.

Maisie comes home drunk after one, calls Fluffy, and touches his tail. Xavier nearly loses control of the shift.
