A Dirty Secret With My Best Friend's Dad

On the night before Adrian Davis's engagement, he walks in on his fiancé Julian in bed with Evan, Julian's affair partner. The engagement ends. Noah Garrison, Adrian's best friend, is away and sends Adrian to the family penthouse instead of home.

At the penthouse, Adrian drinks and runs into Norman Garrison, Noah's father and the man Adrian has wanted for four years. Adrian kisses him. Norman lists the obstacles—his son's best friend, twenty-five to fifty—and tests whether the want survives the whiskey. Morning comes; Adrian does not regret the kiss, only the risk to Noah's friendship. Norman, awake, lets him go and expects him back.

Glory, the CEO's office manager, offers Adrian the executive secretary job after his hotel renovation proposal impresses the board. The CEO is Norman. He draws a hard line: at work he is Mr Garrison, no favors, no touching, and after work Adrian should stay away. Adrian catches the wording, and the line does not hold: a power outage leaves Norman holding him, the lights return, they kiss, and Noah interrupts.

At Graystone, Evan accuses Adrian of sleeping his way upstairs. Norman defends Adrian's hire on merit. Julian tries to reopen the engagement; Adrian closes it, framing the affair as a year-long choice rather than a mistake. Julian and Evan then join forces with Victor Hale, a Graystone board director. The plan: leak the kiss, steal Adrian's Hudson crown work, and make it look as if he slept with the CEO and sold the project.

Liliana, Norman's ex-wife, uses Noah's wish for a reunited family and stages a public family picture with reporters. Norman denies any reunion, but Adrian sees the image Norman allows. The leaked kiss and the framing plot turn the secret into public shame; Adrian clears his name.

Norman resigns as CEO to go public with the relationship. Adrian earns a merit-based promotion, and the two build an equal partnership, marrying on a Manhattan rooftop with Noah as best man.
