He arrives with cameras, then with a systematic dismantling of everything she has: her job, her home, her ability to find work anywhere in town. And when she resists his offer of a gilded cage—a house, a salary, on the condition she becomes the ghostwriter behind Ivy's architectural career—he simply waits for her to run out of options.
