Two Childhood Sweethearts Go Mad After My Marriage

Eleanor opens her eyes at the mate selection ceremony on her third rebirth, standing beside her sister Rosalind. In her first life, Theodore sold her to a military camp as a whore. In her second, Alfred cut the baby from her womb on her due date. Both the baby and she died that day. Only then did she realize they always loved Rosalind. Now she throws her floral crown toward Theodore and Alfred, but they exchange a glance and shove it into an old slave's hands. The crowd freezes. Theodore deliberately steps aside to dodge it. Alfred feigns blindness and pushes it to the old slave. They declare their hearts belong to Rosalind, tell Eleanor she might as well wait for the king's arranged marriage, and ask her to have some dignity and let them go. Eleanor voids the selection, says her father will arrange her marriage from now on, and returns to the palace. She destroys Matilda's indenture, gives her money, and tells her to leave. Matilda does not want to leave, but Eleanor does not look back.
Summoned by Father's messenger, Eleanor approaches the study and overhears Rosalind whining sweetly inside, begging to have both Theodore and Alfred as her mates. The king grants it and tells Eleanor he has arranged another mate for her—she will marry in three days. When Rosalind asks who the king chose for Eleanor, he only says her mate is naturally a superior male and leaves to rest. As Eleanor exits, Rosalind reaches for her scroll but Eleanor dodges. Theodore strikes the back of Eleanor's knee with a stone. She collapses, palms scraped raw. Rosalind's eyes redden with grievance. Alfred comforts her, then reaches out demanding his family bracelet. Theodore looms over Eleanor and rips the necklace away, claiming it belongs to his savior and future mate. They accuse her of stealing Rosalind's heroic deeds, of never leaving the palace during their accident. She mocks Alfred, bends down and lets him snatch the bracelet from her wrist. Rosalind's expression shifts, she clutches her chest and coughs, and the two men rush her to the Royal Infirmary. Eleanor chuckles and does not try to stop them.
Back at the palace, the wedding dress Father sent makes Eleanor's blood run cold. Matilda defies orders and rushes back, weeps, and begs not to be sent away. Eleanor gives a helpless reply: just don't regret it if life becomes harder later. At midnight, Rosalind slams Eleanor's doors open, locks onto the gown, and demands to know why Father prepared hers first. She lunges, summoning flames to burn the dress. Shadowguards intervene because a ruined dress would jeopardize the Leopard Alliance. Rosalind sweeps her sleeves and storms out. Later, Rosalind forces Eleanor to show the dress to tailors, using their joint wedding as an excuse. Theodore gently tucks Rosalind's hair back. Alfred patiently checks the progress of her dress. Eleanor stands silently in the corner, grabs her gown once they finish, and leaves. As she steps outside, a wild horse breaks free and charges straight at her. The hoof stomps heavily on her right leg. She curls up in agony. Theodore leans against the door with icy eyes and says that is her lesson for bullying Rosalind. Matilda takes her back to the palace for treatment. The next morning, Father holds their hands and signals for the decree. The herald proclaims Rosalind will marry Theodore and Alfred. The crowd feels shocked and envious. The two men go rigid, scanning the young nobles in the hall to see who Eleanor will marry. The herald's next words make their faces turn pale, and all would be exposed right now.
