Thunder Panda: Urban Legend Master

A panda was struck by lightning. The bolt didn't kill him—it rewired him. He gained human-level intelligence and the power to channel thunder. He escaped the zoo, found shelter in a Chinatown dojo, and trained in secret. He mastered Tai Chi. He turned lightning into a weapon. But he never wielded it openly, because he knew what waited beyond the dojo walls—scalpels, cages, laboratories where things like him ended up on tables. So he stayed invisible. When a demolition crew came to flatten the dojo, he stepped out of the shadows and stopped them—then vanished again. When a bio-lab boss watched the footage and put a ten-million-dollar bounty on his head, he went deeper underground.
Then Ruby found him. A rabbit. Mutated, scarred, escaped from Lab Seven. She had been cut open and put back together, and she was still running. She watched the panda deflect heavy machine-gun fire with Tai Chi, crush a scavenger mech with one thunder-infused punch, and tear an Executioner war machine apart with his bare paws. When the collapsing subway nearly buried them both, he pulled her out and kept climbing until they broke the surface. Ruby owed him her life, but instead of gratitude, she gave him something harder. She called him out. The labs were still hunting them. Spike and his men were waiting at the exit, ready to finish what the mech had started. Hiding, Ruby told him, was already a kind of dying.
The panda had spent so long calculating the odds of escape that he had never asked what staying hidden was costing him. Now, with Ruby standing beside him—broken, fearless, and refusing to crawl—he looked at the army closing in and made his choice. He stopped running. The beast was about to rise from the shadows, not because he was ready, but because someone had finally shown him that hiding was never really living at all.
