Allie was Colin's true anonymous pen pal, but her best friend Melissa stole her identity at their first meeting. When Melissa was in a coma after an accident, Allie agreed to be her blood donor only if Colin married her—making their marriage a transaction. After awakening, Melissa falsely accused Allie of causing the crash, leading Colin to end the marriage. Now divorced, Melissa has moved in with Colin and openly claims everything that was once Allie's, admitting she deliberately stole Allie's identity from the start.
