Trixie is mistaken for a homeless beggar, but she has healing powers. After helping a sick child and then an injured puppy on the street, she is approached by Devin, the younger brother of Lysander Armstrong. On the street, Devin begs her to save his brother, a war hero who has been in a coma for two years. Trixie agrees and goes to the Armstrong estate. There, doctors and the family insult her and accuse her of being a fraud. She ignores their abuse, examines Lysander in her own way, and correctly identifies his rare condition. When the other doctors challenge her, she accepts their bet and prepares to wake him.
