Brenna was already pregnant when a car accident caused by her father left Kevin paralyzed. Kevin's mother told Brenna he hated her and never wanted to see her again, so Brenna left and raised their son Lucas alone overseas. Five years later, Kevin sees Brenna at a theater and believes she is married with a child, while Brenna hears rumors that Kevin is about to marry someone else.
