For three years, high school student Hazel secretly dated Alexander, the hockey captain and school heartthrob. After overhearing him dismiss their relationship to his friends as nothing serious, a heartbroken Hazel disappeared—pregnant with his child. Seven years later, Hazel now goes by Lena, a single mother working pizza delivery and banquet jobs to save for their daughter Bella's congenital heart surgery. Alexander, now a professional hockey star, has spent those seven years searching for Hazel with no success. When Lena delivers pizza to a party he's attending, she recognizes him immediately—but he doesn't.
