Elara Turner saved Alpha Mason's life in a forbidden forest ten years ago; her blood healed his wounds. Mason brought her into the Stormfang Pack as his adopted daughter and promised that at eighteen she would choose one of his five sons—Ethan, Frank, Gabriel, Henry, or Ian—to marry and succeed him.

A week before her eighteenth birthday, Elara overheard Ethan and the others with Jenny, a maid in the pack. Ethan named Jenny his only choice and Elara never his. Elara refused all five and asked Mason to support a marriage alliance with Xavier Lockhart, the Lycan Prince, instead. Mason warned that Xavier was powerful, dangerous, and unseen, but backed her and agreed to keep the alliance quiet.

Jenny framed Elara over a stolen watch and staged a fall when Ethan passed; Ethan took Jenny's side and used marriage as leverage. At the dress shop before the ball, Ethan brought Jenny as his date and let her take the dress Elara had chosen. Elara gave up the dress, shoes, and earrings and wanted nothing from him again.

At a bonfire, Jenny injured herself with a cup. Frank knocked Elara down in the rush, and the brothers took Jenny to Aurelia Medical Center while Elara was left burned and unconscious. At the hospital, Elara woke in her room to the five brothers talking at her bedside: they were there to keep her from complaining to Mason so Jenny would not be punished. They brought gifts, then asked for Elara's healing blood for Jenny. Ethan offered marriage in exchange. Elara refused. They took her to Jenny's room, where Ethan cut her for blood until she collapsed.

Mason returned and found Elara hospitalized; she hid the cause. Xavier's wedding gift arrived—a crest marking her as his royal Luna—and Elara set the engagement announcement for her eighteenth birthday, three days away.

At the birthday banquet, the five brothers recognized Elara as their mate. Jenny arrived with a knife, declared the brothers loved her, and stabbed herself. The brothers chose Jenny. Mason threatened banishment if they walked out; Ethan defied him and said he would reject Elara himself. Elara rejected all five first. "I, Elara Turner of the Stormfang Pack, reject all five of you as my mates." They accepted the rejection and told her she would be a lone wolf and none of them would marry her. Elara then announced Xavier Lockhart as her future husband. Just then, Xavier arrived, demanding to know who had humiliated his woman.

Dramaglance Notes
The bonfire did it for me. Jenny hits herself with a cup, the brothers run, Frank knocks Elara down, and she burns on the ground while they carry Jenny to the hospital. Then they are in Elara's room with roses—asking for her blood. Ethan puts marriage on the table like a trade. That pattern is the whole nightmare: Elara gets hurt, Jenny gets protected. The birthday banquet pays it off. Jenny arrives with a knife and stabs herself; the brothers pick her in front of the pack. Elara rejects all five mates on the spot. They accept the rejection and still tell her she'll die alone. Then she names Xavier, and just then he arrives, demanding to know who humiliated his woman. That beat flips the room. I want the brothers to see what they threw away.
