Twenty years ago, six-year-old Leo left his ill mother Evelyn so she could return to her family, the Vista family, for the treatment she needed. He never came back. Now a successful chairwoman, Evelyn holds a press conference to publicly search for the son she lost. Leo, unaware of her search, has grown into a talented pastry chef. He recreates a dessert from his childhood—pumpkin seed macarons—as an engagement gift for his fiancée Amber. But Amber is secretly working with Chunk, the General Manager's nephew. Evelyn spots the Vista family emblem on a macaron in a subsidiary's brochure and immediately sets out to find its creator. On her way to the Atlantic Desserts lunch party, she encounters a young man selling macarons on the street. One taste confirms it: this is her son. Before she can reach him, Leo is called back to the event. Evelyn watches on a live stream as Chunk steals Leo's recipe and humiliates him publicly, with Amber joining in the betrayal.
