Twenty years ago, six-year-old Leo left his sick mother Evelyn to raise money for her treatment. He disappeared, and she never stopped searching. Now Evelyn is a powerful chairwoman, and she uses a company press conference to make a public plea: come home, my son.

Leo, now a talented pastry chef, has no idea his mother is looking for him. He creates a dessert using a recipe his mother taught him in childhood—pumpkin seed macarons, born from the nut allergy he shares with her.
