Punished by His Love

Alice, forced to take a prison sentence for the Gower family's daughter to secure her mother's cancer treatment. Five years later, still under Harry's control, she's coerced into an encounter with Christian Salim – part of a plot by Harry (Christian's stepbrother aiming for power) to please a supposedly dying man. After Christian fakes his death and eliminates Harry, he arranges Alice's prison release and a marriage contract solely to fulfill his mother Catherine's dying wish (Catherine, indebted to Alice for kindness in prison). Mistakenly branding Alice a gold-digger, Christian demands a three-month, platonic marriage facade.
